NGC 5585 is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation of Ursa Major and
is a member of the M101 group of galaxies. A nice galaxy cluster (WHL J142058.6+564900) is visible northeast of NGC 5585. With a redshift of z=0.136 the light of this galaxy cluster has to travel for 1.6 billion years to reach earth. |
