Notes: vdB 49 is a blue reflection nebula in the constellation Orion. The blue giant Omega Orionis (visible in the center of the image) is responsible for the lighting of this reflection nebula. vdB 49 is located on the edge of the Barnard's Loop (the red clouds below vdB 49).
